MARCH 2025 DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1.  Fri 7:  ARRIVE DELHI (2 nights)  Namaste and welcome to India! We meet you at the airport and settle you in to your hotel

Day 2. Sat 8:  DELHI - a colourful hive of energy and activity that will wake up your senses! Visit the beautiful Akshardham Temple, the world’s largest Hindu temple

Day 3.  Sun 9:  AGRA, TAJ MAHAL - we go by road to Agra and visit one of The Red Fort, one of the finest fort's in India. From here we'll have our first glimpse of the Taj Mahal

Day 4.  Mon 10:  AGRA to AMRITSAR (3 nights) - sunrise at the Taj Mahal, you'll be moved by the world's most awe-inspiring monument to love. After breakfast we head back to Delhi and fly to the spiritual hub of the Sikh religion and the glittering Golden Temple 

Day 5.  Tues 11:  AMRITSAR - most guests cannot get enough of the Golden Temple. The temple kitchen produces over 100,000 FREE hot meals every day, you can participate in SEVA (selfless service), previous guests describe this experience as a tour ‘highlight’


Day 6.  Wed 12:  AMRITSAR - experience the flamboyant and elaborate India/Pakistan border closing ceremony - a spectacular event that draws crowds of thousands on both sides of the border 

 
Day 7.  Thur 13:  AMRITSAR to JAIPUR (2 nights) - we fly to the 'The Pink City' capital of Rajasthan. Famous for spectacular landscapes, palaces, forts, exquisite jewellery, art treasures, carpets and vibrant textiles. Peacocks roam the gardens of our beautiful heritage hotel. The Holi Festival begins with a bonfire and a party!
 
Day 8.  Fri 14:  JAIPUR - Holi is Hindu 'Festival of Colours' that celebrates the coming of spring with all its beautiful colours and vibrant new life. It's an energetic festival filled with fun and good humour

Day 9.  Sat 15:  JAIPUR to UDAIPUR - overnight sleeper train - we have the whole day to enjoy and discover more of Jaipur. We'll have dinner and then board the overnight sleeper train to Udaipur

Day 10.  Sun 16:  UDAIPUR (2 nights) - we'll have breakfast in Udaipur, also known as the ‘City of Lakes' or 'Venice of the East'. With palaces, lakes and mountains, we are sure you'll fall in love with this city. we tour the spectacular Udaipur City Palace and enjoy sweeping sunset views from Monsoon Palace

Day 11.  Mon 17:  UDAIPUR - today we visit the spectacular Udaipur City Palace, there's free time for shopping and exploring before we head to Monsoon Palace for sweeping sunset views 

Day 12.  Tues 18:  KUMBHALGARH FORT - the Great Wall of India after yoga in the garden we drive to the second longest fort wall in the world. Kumbhalgarh Fort is an amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site. We have one night here 
 
Day 13.   Wed 19:  KUMBHALGARH FORT to DELHI - after lunch we'll head to Udaipur train station for the overnight train to Delhi
 

Day 14.  Thur 20:  DELHI to VARANASI (3 nights) - mid morning we fly to the beating heart of the Hindu universe. Varanasi is a spiritual hot spot. Our hotel has spectacular views of the river, perfect for meditation, photography and to observe the spectacle of daily life and death on The Ganges. 

Day 15.  Fri 21:  VARANASI - sunrise boat trip on the River Ganges. The steps (ghats) leading down to the river teem with life; pilgrims performing their prayers, and locals doing their daily ablutions, yoga, laundry and playing cricket

Day 16.  Sat 22:  VARANASI - another day to explore this fascinating place, at sunset we'll attend the evening Ganga Aarti Ceremony, a moving ritual that uses fire as an offering to the life-giving river
Day 17.  Sun 23:  VARANASI to DELHI - after breakfast we head back to Delhi for our last night

Day 18.  Mon 24:  FLY HOME - return to your corner of the world, heart full, feeling richer with a new perspective on life... where will we meet again?

sometimes we need to ‘go with the flow’, such is the nature of travel in India

  • For this tour to take place - a minimum of 10 guests must register, payments are held until we have 10 guests 

  • If by 1 Dec 2024 10 guests have not registered, your payments can be transferred to another tour or refunded
     

Tour cost is based on sharing a twin or double room. If you wish to share but don’t have a roommate, we'll do our best to match you with a suitable person. We cannot guarantee this. Extra cost for your own room is $1,999
