JUNE 2024 DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1. Tues 4: ARRIVE DELHI - Namaste, welcome to India! We meet you at the airport and settle you in to your hotel
Day 2. Wed 5: DELHI - you can relax, go exploring or shopping. A day tour of Delhi can be arranged
Day 3. Thur 6: DHARAMSHALA, Himachal Pradesh - we have an early flight to this quaint, colourful and serene hill station, the majestic and mesmerising Himalayan peaks serve as a backdrop to the home town of the Dalai Lama
Day 4. Fri 7: DHARAMSHALA - we visit a tea plantation for a relaxing lunch and explore lively McLeod Ganj - also known as 'Little Lhasa' due to the large population of Tibetans
Day 5. Sat 8: DHARAMSHALA to AMRITSAR, Punjab - we have a road trip to the spiritual home of the Sikhs and the glittering Golden Temple
Day 6. Sun 9: AMRITSAR - free day to explore delightful Amritsar
Day 7. Mon 10: AMRITSAR to SRINAGAR, Kashmir - we fly to Srinagar, where lush meadows meet the dramatic Himalayan mountains. We have four nights in Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, fondly known as 'Heaven on Earth' and famous for its houseboats floating on the picturesque Dal Lake
Day 8. Tues 11: SRINAGAR - we glide in boats (Shikara's) to the splendid Mughal Gardens of Nishat
Day 9. Wed 12: SRINAGAR - we enjoy a day trip to scenic Gulmarg, famous for having the highest cable car in the world
Day 10. Thur 13: SRINAGAR - relax on your houseboat, go exploring or shopping, there's lots to do and see
Day 11. Fri 14: SRINAGAR to SONAMARG - day one of our road trip to Leh, we enjoy a night in this beautiful hill station
Day 12. Sat 15: SONAMARG to KARGIL, Ladakh - day two on the road, the majestic and raw beauty is captivating; glaciers, mountain passes, glistening rivers, frozen peaks, and a myriad of hues. We have a lovely hotel by a river, time to relax
Day 13. Sun 16: KARGIL to ULEYTOKPO - day three finds us in a wonderful wellbeing resort by the Indus River
Day 14. Mon 17: ULEYTOKPO to LEH - our peaceful Hotel Chamba is nestled at the foot of 14 century Thiksey Monastery
Day 15. Tues 18: LEH - the Himalayan kingdom of LADAKH is a remote region of India with colossal snow capped mountains, moonscape scenery, Tibetan culture, ancient monasteries and fluttering prayer flags, its like being lost in a time warp... soak up the sunrise at Thiksey Monastery with the local monks
Day 16. Wed 19: LEH - Ladakh is a land like no other, dominated by dramatic landscapes, known as the worlds coldest desert, the local monasteries are very old and fascinating, we'll explore Thiksey and other monasteries
Day 17. Thur 20: LEH to DELHI - we have a lunchtime flight back to Delhi - with stunning views of the Himalaya's (weather permitting) we enjoy our last evening back in the cosmopolitan capital city
Day 18. Thur 21: DEPART DELHI - we will arrange your hotel to airport transfers

Tour cost is based on sharing a twin or double room. If you wish to share but don’t have a roommate, we'll do our best to match you with a suitable person. We cannot guarantee this. Extra cost for your own room is $1,799.
